About This Blog and Me

This blog is for all Real Estate Investors - those who are currently investing and those who have been thinking about investing in real estate.   Although there will be some talk about the Mass/RI real estate market, much of the posts here will be generic about investing in general.

Why am I “stealth” in the blogosphere?  Well, I still work for a very big corporation, and I gotta keep this investing thing on the down low.  My employer frowns upon any side businesses and promoting them on blogs, Facebook, etc.  I’m hoping to get out of the rat race very soon, not just for financial reasons, but so I can also not work so many hours and spend more time with family and friends.

Why did I create this blog?  Well, I stumbled upon Real Estate Investing when I bought my first house over 10 years ago.  After searching for a house I could afford, I found out about HUD homes (foreclosures) and actually bought one as my first home.  Since then, we (me and my spouse), sold the HUD house and bought a nicer home at a great price, basically because it was a little unfinished and wasn’t staged very well.

I’ve had entrepreneurship in my blood forever.  I had lemonade stands and washed cars for money as a kid and have done a ton of things since then.  I have tried MLM and other offbeat things to get outta the rat race.  But I always come back to real estate.  It’s something I really enjoy and I know it’s the way to build longterm wealth.

Hopefully I can pass along tips and tricks about investing and also learn from my blog readers as well!
